Everyday agents
Also called: personal AI assistant, AI that acts for you
An everyday agent is an assistant that takes actions for you — sorting email, booking, filling forms, shopping — rather than only answering questions. You meet them inside tools you already use, no coding involved.
The step from 'answers' to 'acts' is where AI starts touching your real life, and where the choices you make about access and checkpoints actually matter. It's also where almost nothing free currently teaches ordinary people what to do.
A chatbot. A chatbot tells you; an everyday agent does — and undoing what it did can be much harder than ignoring what it said.
