Where you already meet them
Agents in ordinary lifeAgentic assistants are arriving inside tools you already use: an email helper that drafts and files, a scheduling assistant that negotiates times, a shopping or travel agent that finds and books. You don't have to build anything — you have to decide what to connect them to and how far to let them go.
You let an assistant connect to your calendar and email so it can 'handle scheduling'. Useful — until you realise 'handle' could mean reading every message and emailing strangers on your behalf. Same feature, very different comfort levels.
'Connect your account' is where the real decision hides. The convenience is in the connection; so is the risk. Read what access you're granting before you click allow.
Look at one AI feature you use. List what it can see and what it can do. If you can't tell, that's the first thing to find out.
