Transparency and disclosure
Also called: labelling AI, tell people it's AI
Being open that AI was involved — that a person is talking to a bot, that an image is synthetic, that a decision used an automated system — so people can judge and consent.
Disclosure is increasingly a legal duty (the EU AI Act requires marking certain AI interactions and synthetic media) and always a trust one. Hiding AI use tends to backfire harder than the use itself.
Explainability. Disclosure says 'AI was here'; explainability tries to say why the system produced a given result.
