TOPIC 08 OF 08
Evidence and uncertainty
Plan for what the model cannot knowTell the system how to handle missing, disputed, or time-sensitive information. Ask it to separate supplied evidence from inference, identify gaps, and request clarification rather than filling gaps with plausible language.
For every factual claim, cite the supplied source and date. If the sources do not support a claim, write ‘not established’ and ask one follow-up question.
A generated citation may be incorrect or invented. Open important sources yourself and verify that they support the exact claim.
Add an uncertainty rule, a source rule, and a verification step to your Request Brief.
